If you read our previous post, you know that we don’t like to spend a lot of money on buying a new laptop of PC. We would rather get a problem fixed for much cheaper if at all possible.
So in this post, we can discuss where to get your laptop or PC fixed, and what you should look for in a good PC Repair expert.
- Best Buy. This is the obvious one, and the Geek Squad is pretty good. If you have never been to Best Buy, first, what rock have you been living under, and second, you should go to get a quote. By computer repair standards, these guys are pretty inexpensive, as most computer repair experts will run you about $100/hour, and I think Best Buy is less than that. But don’t take my word for it, call them or visit one of their stores today.
- Gurus2Go. This is a relatively new outfit, and I’m not that familiar with them, but they have reps in a bunch of states, and they seem to get favorable reviews, so you should be in good hands with them. Again, make sure to request a quote wherever you go, as that is the most important thing.
- You can search for independent companies in your city as well. There are many that are independent or local companies that will offer you very good service, but make sure you go through your due diligence checklist, and get some reviews from friends before you go.
Our biggest piece of advice is to make sure you get an accurate quote from a PC or Laptop Repair expert before you go. We have had great luck with companies that have diagnosed the situation or problem before we leave their store or get off a remote assistance session with them.

Next time, we will go through a Q&A with a small business that does computer repair to see the advice they can give us.
